Responsible for settlement of pension cases and issuance of PPOs of the employees of Non-Govt. State aided educational institutions, three (3) tier Panchayati Raj bodies, Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) and 25 other Non-Govt. Organizations under various departments across West Bengal.
The control and management of GPF of Group D employees of the state which was erstwhile done by the respective Heads of Offices (HOOs) was accorded to DPPG vide WB Fin Department G.O no. 734-F(J) WB dated 28.02.2018.
Responsible for crediting the Annual Interest on PF for the employees of Non-Govt. Organizations of the state under 1476 PF Operators.
DPPG’s NEW ENDEAVOURS
e-PENSION PORTAL: (URL: www.epension.wb.gov.in) The portal was launched in 2017 as a part of Reforms in Pension of Non-Government Institutions like Government aided Educational Institutions, Urban Local Bodies (ULBs), 3-tier Panchayati Raj Institutions covering 7.5 lakh employees across WB. During 2024-25, DPPG issued 13,665 e-PPOs and 2,143 manual PPOs to pensioner of various Non-Government Institutions as stated above.
GROUP-D GPF MODULE: From 01.04.2018, DPPG has been entrusted with the control and management of General Provident Fund module of Group-D employees of State Government as a part of Reforms in maintenance of Gr-D GPF. This online module under WBIFMS portal enhances the transparency and accuracy in management of GPF Accounts and provides employees real time access to their GPF accounts. It caters to 40,000 Gr-D employees of the State and recently Rs. 101.76 crore was credited as Annual Interest on Gr-D GPF balances for 2024-25.
NGIPF MODULE: As a part of reforms in the maintenance of Provident Fund in Non-Government Institutions, Non-Government Institutions Provident Fund (NGIPF) module has been introduced in WBIFMS portal for maintenance of employee-wise Provident Fund in Non-Government Educational Institutions, Local Bodies & other similar institutions vide Finance Department Notification No. 4309-F(e-Gov) dated 12.07.2023. DPPG has been assigned a key role in the aforesaid reforms. This reform will cover approx 6,00,000 PF subscribers under 1,695 PF Operators across WB under administrative control of 8 key Departments. During FY 2024-25, DPPG credited Rs 1,950 crore as Annual Interest on PF balances to 1340 nos. of Non-Government Institutions.
GISS MODULE: Recently Finance Department vide G.O No. 3528-F(e-Gov) dated 07.08.2024 declared DPPG to be the nodal authority in respect of Reforms in Group Insurance (GISS) of all employees of the State Government. A committee headed by the Director DPPG was formed to finalize the road map and accordingly FRS/SRS has been developed and the development of the module has started and it will be launched soon.
USE OF OTHER E-GOVERNANCE PORTALS: This Directorate has fully implemented IFMS/ HRMS module for the purpose of preparation of Salary and other employee Bills, all other non-employee bills, P.F. interest sanction, application for LTC/ HTC/ GPF Loan/ various Leaves by the employees of this Directorate etc. Also, e-Office has already been used by this Directorate in full swing.
